It is said and we say a lot that cats are curious by nature, but to what extent is that true? These animals are hunters and also nocturnal, which means that they remain -more- active at dusk and dawn, which is when their prey are sleeping and are easier to catch. It is your instinct.
Although many now live in houses with the humans who feed them, you cannot change what has made them one of the most successful furries. From a very young age they spend a good part of their time exploring their territory to perfect their hunting techniques! But, What is true of the myth of the curiosity of cats?
Kittens are born blind and deaf, but they begin to explore their closest environment by sniffing it. At three weeks old, with their eyes open, their curiosity leads them to move more, to investigate everything around them. That's when they start to transform into the unruly hair balls that we love so much.
However, they don't do it to make us want them, but rather because they follow their survival instincts. And, as we said, they are hunters. They need to learn to stalk and catch prey before they become adultsas otherwise they would feel they have no chance of getting ahead.

For this reason, it should not surprise us that they hunt toys, or even live prey if they have the opportunity to go outside. Still, it would be useless to be perfect predators if they do not protect themselves. Finding a safe place is paramount for them, hence they love boxes, and of course high heights.. From there they watch us, watch us, and "study" us.
Can it bring you problems? Yeah right, but they only live in a home where or not it is tried that they play daily 2-3 times a day, or where there are dangers within their reach (windows and / or balconies without cat net, cleaning products, toxic plants). If they take care of themselves as they deserve, there is no reason to have problems.
