Much has been said that cats are so special that it is impossible for them to get along with dogs; Not in vain, we cannot forget that dogs are hairy that have more strength and can cause a lot of damage to felines. But, What is true in that myth?
Can cats get along with dogs?
The answer is… depends. It depends above all on whether that animal has been properly socialized when it was a puppy with others of other species. In the case of the cat, If you do not live with a dog since it is a kitten, it will be very difficult for once it reaches an adult to tolerate the presence of the dog. Of course, you can try to achieve this by respecting each animal and giving them many rewards - both of them - when they are together and behaving well, but it will cost more.
If not, chances are that when you see a dog the cat wants to get away as quickly as possible to hide. It would be something like if we were shown an animal that we have never seen. We do not know if it is dangerous or not, or how it will react when it sees us. As a precaution, our instincts will keep us on our toes.
Another important issue is the education that animal has received. If you have been educated with respect, affection and patience, even if you have not socialized with other species, it may be easier for you to get along with them. It is not the usual thing, but knowing that you can trust the person next to you, that fear that you might have disappears giving way to curiosity.
Thus, cats can get along with dogs, as long as both one and the other are animals that have been educated correctly.
